Student Management System is software which is helpful for students as well as the school authorities. In the current system all the activities are done manually. It is very time consuming and costly. Our Student Management System deals with the various activities related to the students. In the Software we can register as a user and user has of two types, user and administrator. Administrators have the power to add new students and can edit and delete a student. A user can register as a student and can add and edit a student’s profile.
The objective of Student information System is to allow the administrator of any organization to edit and find out the personal details of a student and allows the users to keep up the student’s data to date.It’ll also facilitate keeping all the records of students, such as their id, name, mailing address, phone number, DOB etc. So all the information about a student will be available in a few seconds. Overall, it’ll make Student Information Management an easier job for the administrator and the student of any organization. The main purpose of this SRS document is to illustrate the requirements of the project Student information System and is intended to help any organization to maintain and manage its student’s personal data.
Search module: Suppose there are hundreds of students and from this we have to search a particular student and we know the name of the student .This module will help the administrator in searching the student with various criteria easily.
Registration Module and Account Management: This module will help the student get registered from anywhere if internet is present .This module will really simplify the task of on paper registration. Also after successful registration the user can update information and change their password as and when required.
User Management: This module will help the administrator in enabling/disabling a user account and updating user information as required. The technology selected for implementing the Student Management System is JAVA and MYSQL. JAVA SWING includes built-in controls such as trees to display HTTP or rich text format (RTF). Swing components are written entirely in Java and thus are platform-independent. MYSQL is a stable, reliable and powerful solution with advance features like: • Data Security. • On-Demand Scalability. • High Performance. • Complete Workflow Control.
The development was done in a ‘windows’ environment using Visual Studio Code.
