I submitted Issue #4979 which proposes an opt-in --status-url flag on openshell gateway add. Some users may have some kind of a management plane that creates/deletes gateways across many clusters.. this can make the user's openshell cli out-of-date with the state of the gateways... the --status-url which returns either 200 = still here, 410 Gone = deleted -> This is a management plane agnostic solution.

This would be completely opt-in and not effect functionality at all for users who don't set this flag.

Why this change?

This bug effects anyone working with a management plane may that creates/deletes gateways across many clusters.. this can make the user's openshell cli out-of-date with the state of the gateways. Your local openshell cli still thinks the gateways exists. Trying to create a new gateway with the same name leads to errors. It would be nice for the CLI to know the state of your gateways without completely relying on the cli's cache in this scenario.
