OnePlus hasn't pushed the sources for the latest Android 11 beta, and for the stable builds 10.3.6 and 10.3.7. OnePlus is well aware that not submitting the modified code in a timely manner is a GPL violation.

Edit: OnePlus needs to submit sources from the latest beta 2 and the stable build 10.3.8. as well. It's been months and no answer as to why they've delayed that.

Edit 2: I've been in contact with the FreeSoftwareFoundation. Hopefully they'll investigate and see what can be done about this issue

Edit 3: OnePlus says no changes have been made since 10.3.5. I very much doubt that.

If changes have, indeed, been made, OnePlus is now refusing to submitting their sources, even when asked.

--- Bump ---
It's gone a month now, and still, the sources haven't been released yet...

I have same problem. This is my last oneplus device. Switching to Pixel on next gen

C'mon OnePlus you are dropping the ball.

I filed a case about this today. Case ID: #210319-001265, lets see what excuse they give me as to why they can push nord sources with every update but not the 7 series. And I have no rollback package for OB3 so I'm stuck with their hot garbage beta SW that crashes and has screen scaling issues.

It’s ridiculous that if there is no change in the source code, why does the ROM compiled with your A10 kernel source code still fail to boot on your 11 vendor

@Systemad

Stable is out. There is no excuse not to release them now.

Oxygen os stable 11 is out and you still managed to not relase the sources!!! liars!!!

@filjusz you got to remind them every 15 minutes about it, surely will help a lot.

Seems they relased something under R-10 tag

@Ramalama2

r10 isn't compilable or working. its just bs.
In fact they made modifications to the kernel, else it would boot. But it doesn't.

Whatever, oneplus is anyway not oneplus anymore. Just feeling betrayed, that they come from xda and now this here.

luk1337 commented Apr 5, 2021

While it is not compilable out of the box, it is working given you know what you're doing. I'm able to boot up r10 kernel just fine on Lineage.

@Ramalama2

did you tryed oos 11?

Pretty sure I'd at least reach boot animation on OOS 11.

I'll be sure to forward that and Freak07's submission on the XDA forums to the FreeSoftwareFoundation as well. If OnePlus is pushing broken/modified sources, they are violating the GPLv2. They also need to submit the sources for the four betas that were released

[ Upstream commit 9f6f852550d0e1b7735651228116ae9d300f69b3 ]

'nj_setup' in netjet.c might fail with -EIO and in this case
'card->irq' is initialized and is bigger than zero. A subsequent call to
'nj_release' will free the irq that has not been requested.

Fix this bug by deleting the previous assignment to 'card->irq' and just
keep the assignment before 'request_irq'.

The KASAN's log reveals it:

Put new_slave in bond_sysfs_slave_add() will cause use-after-free problems
when new_slave is accessed in the subsequent error handling process. Since
new_slave will be put in the subsequent error handling process, remove the
unnecessary put to fix it.
In addition, when sysfs_create_file() fails, if some files have been crea-
ted successfully, we need to call sysfs_remove_file() to remove them.
Since there are sysfs_create_files() & sysfs_remove_files() can be used,
use these two functions instead.

Fixes: 7afcaec (bonding: use kobject_put instead of _del after kobject_add)

After scrubbing the BPF prog a bit from the noise, turns out it called
bpf_skb_change_head() for the lwt_xmit prog with headroom of 2. Nothing
wrong in that, however, this was run with repeat >> 0 in bpf_prog_test_run_skb()
and the same skb thus keeps changing until the pskb_expand_head() called
from skb_cow() keeps bailing out in atomic alloc context with -ENOMEM.
So upon return we'll basically have 0 headroom left yet blindly do the
__skb_push() of 14 bytes and keep copying data from there in bpf_test_finish()
out of bounds. Fix to check if we have enough headroom and if pskb_expand_head()
fails, bail out with error.

Another bug independent of this fix (but related in triggering above) is
that BPF_PROG_TEST_RUN should be reworked to reset the skb/xdp buffer to
it's original state from input as otherwise repeating the same test in a
loop won't work for benchmarking when underlying input buffer is getting
changed by the prog each time and reused for the next run leading to
unexpected results.

Add a simple check that avoids incrementing a pointer by zero, but
otherwise behaves as before. Note that our findings are against ACPICA

The following processes run into a deadlock. CPU 41 was waiting for CPU 29
to handle a CSD request while holding spinlock "crashdump_lock", but CPU 29
was hung by that spinlock with IRQs disabled.

The lock is used to synchronize different sysfs operations, it doesn't
protect any resource that will be touched by an interrupt. Consequently
it's not required to disable IRQs. Replace the spinlock with a mutex to fix
the deadlock.

vhost_worker will call tun call backs to receive packets. If too many
illegal packets arrives, tun_do_read will keep dumping packet contents.
When console is enabled, it will costs much more cpu time to dump
packet and soft lockup will be detected.

net_ratelimit mechanism can be used to limit the dumping rate.
