This feature introduces exponentation by squaring, effectively making the cost of power and int * str/bytes operations logarithmic (as opposed to previous linear cost)
It requires limited memory and follows the implementation here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponentiation_by_squaring#With_constant_auxiliary_memory
