HELM-430: Performance datasource, allow brace and brace:fmt variable syntax #796

Allow $var, ${var} and ${var:fmt} syntax in template variable references in Performance data source queries.

Note that we don't do any special format processing when a format is specified.

Also did some refactoring of the interpolation code.
