is old bad feature, when disconnected player dont clear his buildings and units. pls fix it

PR #13319 to surrender at least on Leave.

In a team game all his stuff could be useful for his team to continue to play without him (except harvesters), regardless the reason of the disconnection.

In 1v1, since a leave doesn't register as a win for the one staying, it punishes the winner over the one rage quitting. The winner has to destroy everything afterward.

I think that issuing a surrender order on disconnect is probably the best solution for this, it ruins games when players disconnect without surrendering for the following reasons:

FFA

A player disconnecting without surrendering can completely ruin an FFA, a player that wouldn't have otherwise won now has a chance to:

  • Boost their economy massively by getting a thief or spy into the disconnected player's refinery
  • Boost their economy by hijacking harvesters or harvester husks
  • Gain veteran units with no effort by infiltrating barracks, war factory and/or airstrips/helipads with spies, as well as gaining vision by infiltrating the radar dome
  • Capture buildings; possibly gaining double tech

Team games

A player disconnecting without surrendering can ruin a team game as:

  • They consume ore and spend it on queued units that aren't being utilised
  • Their structures can be infiltrated to gain cash, veterancy or vision
  • Their structures can easily be captured, possibly gaining double tech

1v1

A player disconnecting without surrounding in a 1v1 is just annoying, you have to either disconnect or destroy the remainder of their buildings (and units if short game is disabled)

In all cases, artillery units, naval units and defences can still be useful, but the only scenario where this may be positive is in team games, in which case the loss of income on idle units for one team usually outweighs the benefits, and I think it's acceptable to concede a loss when a player on your team disconnects, it's only a very imbalanced game where you might have a chance of winning
