List of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive console commands and variables has some interesting hidden features:

  • cl_sanitize_muted_players Hide names and avatars of muted players.
  • cl_sanitize_player_names Replace names of other players with something non-offensive.

What it does is change player names to the color they picked for privacy or to avoid offensive nicknames when streaming.

It should also sanitise server names and chat. Though I suppose we can sanitise server names on master server level

I don't like the idea of sanitizing through master server, though the whole idea of hiding "bad" nicknames is fine. I'll still rather insist on a personal blacklist for players you don't like.
