cant join the multiplayer server

i run the server.js on node js with express and socket io. i host multiplayer.html on xampp. but it stops on connecting to server. tell me how to i join the server.

and i wanna ask, can the multiplayer on domain server? i want to be public server

I a no node expert a real 1 outta 10 on nodejs however this is something I struggled with as well node is all in one hosting solution as long as you have the right dependency npm modules installed run node the execute the json file and that loads and host the whole thing??? (Please correct me if needed) xampp is a ngix ,lighthttpd stack (cgi,php,sql) totally not needed with nodejs node is a separate type of server
