PSP 1K Retail to Testing Tools

Prerequisites / Notes

• Know that there are multiple paths to take this is more of a soft tutorial. If you know a better way to do some steps by all means go ahead.

Setup

1. Download ChronoSwitch

2. Download 6.39 Update ( RENAME IT TO EBOOT.PBP )

3. Download 6.60TT-A ( DO NOT RENAME YET )

4. Download psp_cex2dex by Yoti

5. Download 6.39 PRO-C2

6. Extract ChronoSwitch to your Memory Stick (folder structure is already setup in the zip just drag and drop next to your PSP folder on your Memory Stick and merge if asked)

7. Extract Cex2DexConverter to your Memory Stick (folder structure is already setup in the zip just drag and drop next to your PSP folder on your Memory Stick and merge if asked)

8. Extract 639_PRO-C2_14-02-2015 to your Memory Stick, you really only need PROUPDATE that is in the PSP folder with the zip nothing else. But keep the path structure, so PROUPDATE would still go into PSP/GAME/

9. On your Memory Stick make a directory in PSP/GAME called UPDATE

10. Move the 6.39 Update (now named EBOOT.PBP remember?) to the UPDATE folder

11. Make sure you safely eject your PSP/Memory Stick from the PC

Fun stuff

1. Run ChronoSwitch accept all the stuff and downgrade to 6.39.

2. Run 6.39 PRO-C2 (PROUPDATE) w/e its called

3. Connect your PSP/Memory Stick back to the computer and now rename 660TT.pbp to EBOOT.PBP and place in PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ overwriting the 6.39 Update.

4. Make sure you safely eject your PSP/Memory Stick from the PC

5. Run cex2dex and convert your PSP to run Dev Firmware

6. Run the 6.60 Testing Tools firmware. You will have to manually reboot once it finishes.

7. Setup ARK-4 again

8. Profit
