PieceMEAL

An app that streamlines the process of choosing recipes and creating grocery lists

Usage

An account is required to view recipes and create lists! Sign-up at www.piece-meal-app.com!

New Users - Upon account creation, fill out your dietary preferences to get your first recommendations.

Returning Users - Further page views and recipe likes will provide more information for recommendations

Grocery Lists - Create a list on the home page. Add as many recipes as you want to your shopping list. Go to the list view, resolve any duplication conflicts, add/remove individual items. Use the list view in the bottom right to sort by aisle.

Setup

Installation

  • Mac OS X

    • npm i
    • npm run start-dev

Running Locally

  • To setup your database, download the neo4j desktop app and create a project. This project attempt to connect with localhost 1234. Neo4J will run on this URL by default.

  • Install the "GRAPH ALGORITHMS" plug-in on your new project. This plug-in is will come packaged with the initial neo4j desktop download. - This plug-in will allow the similarity algorithm to run.

  • Next, from your terminal seed your database

    • npm run seed

Your patches are welcome. Here's our suggested workflow:

  • Fork the project.

  • Make your feature addition or bug fix.

  • Send us a pull request with a description of your work. Bonus points for topic branches!

  • Merge conflicts are resolved by bare-knuckle brawl. No outside weapons, biting, or small joint locks allowed.
