Metal

Metal covers a wide variety of metals ranging from heavy metals used in construction (such as iron, copper and zinc) to precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum. While every planet needs a small quantity of Metal for the purposes of construction and maintenance, certain planets require significantly more due to the nature of their work. Research planets, for instance, may require Metals for investigative R&D purposes, while Cultural planets may use large quantities of Metal for the construction of increasingly elaborate stages and arenas.
