Since git (and other dvc Systems) offer standard ways to send emails with
patches (that you are syntax highlighting) it would be realy cool to have an
integrated way of applying a patch (by piping the whole mail into git-am)
as seen over here:

Good idea but it will be hard to make usable. How do I know to which repository
patch should be applied? It it quite common to have multiple repositories.
Anyway, unless I will be reviewing patches once again, this extension is in
support mode. You are welcome to send patches with new features though :)
