the return() statement after the warning in the pods macros would cause the cmakelists to terminate early (so, e.g., if snopt and gurobi are not present, the systems/plants/CMakeLists script in drake would terminate early with a warning and the drake-rbm package would never be installed). return() should only be used in functions unless aborting is the desired behavior.
