There's no need for a "fully" formed event.
A first draft of the schema could be:

What: description of the proposal
Speaker: name of the human being willing to give the talk/workshop/whatever
Time: approx duration of the thing

You mean like a first step for event organization? Someone submits us the idea, then we look for the place/date... etc...?

Yeap, ie:

What: I want someone to tell us how to do CustomViews in Android
Speaker: ?????
Time: ????

Sounds interesting, but the site itself is static, so we should hack something like disqus, maybe JS + Firebase so we can store the proposals and retrieve them?
We could also implement a +1 system so people can show interest on pending proposals.

Never played around with doodles, but can be an easy start, we can scrap existing doodles to show a list of pending events :)

What do you think about Trello? It can be useful for events proposals and events voting.
I've created a sample board where you can see all the features. https://trello.com/b/g7nyYIkx

Trello would allow us to manage creation, history, votes, comments, dates, etc... of all events.

Hi David, welcome. We are not talking from a management point of view (in which Trello excels), but an easy way for people who wishes to propose an event to send it, some kind of integration between doodle or google forms (as per Jorge's suggestion) and our page.

So, working on David and Jorge ideas, I've found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm-Ydgxpsw8.
We can use a Google Form to submit answers to Trello and then publish Trello boards so people can vote.
Update... after reading https://blog.trello.com/going-public-roadmapping-with-a-public-trello-board, do we need Google Forms? We can use some kind of integration to show our public boards: https://blog.trello.com/embed-trello-cards-and-boards

@agustinventura should I assign this to you? (aka are you happy to build the Trello way or should I)

I would be happy, but I'm overworked right now, so it will take some time.

I honestly asked you because I felt that you would have enjoyed it.
Happy to assign it to myself 😎

@david-romero interested?

It will be a pleasure for me :)
Maybe this weekend I could look it over.
Which is the aim? To integrate Google Forms with Treelo?

Hi @israbr and @agustinventura
I have developed a first implementation of the integration. If you fullfill the google form, a new event will be created in Trello.

Please, review the format and the english. I don't have the desired level 😆

Any feedback is well received. 😃

Forgiveness for slow to respond

Great job @david-romero! Easy and straightforward implementation 😄

So, next steps... I propose:

  1. Create a public board in SVQJUG at Trello (as David's one)
  2. Launch a Google Form, again as David's one but I'd suggest date, time and location to be optional. @israbr could you set it up using SVQJUG's Google account?
  3. Then we can embed that form on our web page so it is accesible for everyone
  4. And, last, embed our public board in the web page (https://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/30785/can-i-embed-a-trello-board-into-my-site).

What do you think guys?

Thank you very much @agustinventura!

When the board and the form are created by @israbr you could notify me in order to do the integration.

I will be expectant :)
