To have a way to submit new events #9
Comments
You mean like a first step for event organization? Someone submits us the idea, then we look for the place/date... etc...? |
Yeap, ie: What: I want someone to tell us how to do CustomViews in Android |
Sounds interesting, but the site itself is static, so we should hack something like disqus, maybe JS + Firebase so we can store the proposals and retrieve them? |
Mmmmm
I have not thought about it yet, but I think I had something like that in
mind. Or Links to active Doodles (so we are free from worrying about
infrastructure)

We could also implement a +1 system so people can show interest on pending
proposals.

Never played around with doodles, but can be an easy start, we can scrap existing doodles to show a list of pending events :) |
Podrias poner un link a un formulario de google. |
What do you think about Trello? It can be useful for events proposals and events voting. Trello would allow us to manage creation, history, votes, comments, dates, etc... of all events. |
Hi David, welcome. We are not talking from a management point of view (in which Trello excels), but an easy way for people who wishes to propose an event to send it, some kind of integration between doodle or google forms (as per Jorge's suggestion) and our page. |
So, working on David and Jorge ideas, I've found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm-Ydgxpsw8. |
@agustinventura should I assign this to you? (aka are you happy to build the Trello way or should I) |
I would be happy, but I'm overworked right now, so it will take some time. |
I honestly asked you because I felt that you would have enjoyed it. |
@david-romero interested? |
It will be a pleasure for me :) |
Hi @israbr and @agustinventura Please, review the format and the english. I don't have the desired level 😆 Any feedback is well received. 😃 Forgiveness for slow to respond Google Form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSckq4UgiWorQh_9Ha63O2tTpDrd4etc04tHw-W_DBvLq721gQ/viewform?usp=sf_link Trello Board: https://trello.com/b/g7nyYIkx/svqjug-events Code: https://github.com/david-romero/googleforms-to-trello/blob/master/sendToTrello.gc |
Great job @david-romero! Easy and straightforward implementation 😄 So, next steps... I propose:
What do you think guys? |
Thank you very much @agustinventura! When the board and the form are created by @israbr you could notify me in order to do the integration. I will be expectant :) |
I am the worst... #noExcuses
THANK YOU SO MUCH @david-romero ^_^ |
There's no need for a "fully" formed event.
A first draft of the schema could be:
What: description of the proposal
Speaker: name of the human being willing to give the talk/workshop/whatever
Time: approx duration of the thing
