I know this diff is fairly large, but I think it is a good contribution.

I have not changed all instances of ɪəR or ɪəst to use /i/. Only where it made sense.

Thank you for your work and I agree that consistency would be good. There are two issues I need to work through:

  1. You have edited kingsleyreadlexicon.tsv. I generate this file (and all other formats of the lexicon) from readlex.json. It is difficult for me to integrate changes to kingsleyreadlexicon.tsv back into readlex.json (which is more data rich) and it will likely be simpler for me to write a script myself to change readlex.json directly.
  2. The '-iness' words need further research. The Cambridge Pronouncing Dictionary gives /-ɪnəs/ across the board. This does seem counter-intuitive so I will do a bit more digging.

Ah, I had no idea the JSON was actually the master. No worries if you do want to just keep this open for a reminder / to-do then. Thank you!
