This project is build for the use of CyIRC Network as a desktop client.

Prerequisites

Before you can build you will need to install nodejs and then install yarn

Building

You should just need to run ./build.sh but if that fails run the following commands:

git init
git clone https://github.com/kiwiirc/kiwiirc.git
cd ./kiwiirc/
yarn install && yarn build
mv ./dist ../client
cd ..
cp client-defaults/config.json client/static/config.json
cp client-defaults/package.json client/package.json
cp client-defaults/main.js client/main.js
cp client-defaults/cyirclogo.png client/cyirclogo.png
cp -r icons/ client/icons
cp -r client-defaults/img client/img
cp -r client-defaults/plugins client/plugins
cd client/
npm install

Note: If ./build.sh fails to start use command sudo chmod a+x build.sh then try again.

Running for development

To run the client you will need to install electron (sudo npm -g install electron) then enter the client/ directory and type electron .

Note: Incase of installation problems with electron try sudo npm install -g electron --unsafe-perm=true --allow-root.
