Frame Blacklist Support #2
Comments
Thanks! Will be available in the next release :) |
That is awesome as it means I can use your addon which I believe will be
updated far more regularly then clique itself.
I have another suggestion though not sure how much it matters.
Does clicked use a lot of resources? I wonder if you could enable a
lightweight mode for those that would only use it for the clique
options.?
Also, I guess no way to import macros from the blizzard ones or keybinds
from say bartender or dominoes ?
It's going to be a challenge to "redo" all of the macros/binds into
clicked....
Have you heard of an addon called macro toolkit? I was wondering if you
could includ some sort of color scheme like it has for the command and
elements in macros.
So for instance when you have a macro it will recognize the right format
so that /cast [@target] Penance or whatever would show yellow for that
@target and penance if it recognizes that spell for your current
character, etc.
Probably a lot of work but would be amazing if you could put that into
the macro interface :)

The addon doesn't do anything that should negatively impact performance, generally all the configuration options are only applied when you update them (or when you log in / reload). The only exception right now is that it also re-applies the configuration when entering or leaving combat, I'll look into removing the need for that in the 1.0.0 release, but it doesn't really impact performance in the current state either.
Sadly no way to import stuff from existing macros, no.
I'll look into something along those lines :) |
No worries thanks for being so interactive if you added that
functionality I would be able to dump both clique and macro toolkit,
both of which seem to be plagued with some LUA issues due to them not
being updated all that optimally :)
If you get a chance take a look at macro toolkit to get a better idea on
what I was describing :)
Thanks!
Neil

Hi there I am using another raid frame addon called DRF unit frames
which is simply a more customizable raid frames. It seems to load on
top of the regular blizzard ones and you have to disable those to get it
to work.
I assume this is the reason it's causing clicked to completely ignore it
and not recognize it. Is it something he has to fix or you ?
Thanks!

It requires some effort on the part of the unit frame addon in order to support click-casting. If Clicked doesn't pick them up and Clique also doesn't pick them up it's likely that the addon dev hasn't added click-casting support. There's a global table called _G.ClickCastFrames[frame] = true -- to register a frame
_G.ClickCastFrames[frame] = false -- to unregister a frame I tried it out in DRF (I think those are the unit frames you're referring to) and all the author has to do is change their Show and Hide calls to this: uf.btn:Show() -- line 1203
ClickCastFrames[uf.btn] = true ClickCastFrames[uf.btn] = false
uf.btn:Hide() -- line 1208 ClickCastFrames[uf.btn] = false
uf.btn:Hide() -- line 1244 |
Thanks! will pass this info along :)

There's a global table called ClickCastFrames that the unit frame addon
has to register its frames into in order for Clicked to pick them up.
_G.ClickCastFrames[frame] =true-- to register a frame_G.ClickCastFrames[frame] =false-- to unregister a frame
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I tried it out in DRF
<https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/draidframes> (I think those are
the unit frames you're referring to) and all the author has to do is
change their Show and Hide calls to this:
uf.btn:Show() -- line 1203
ClickCastFrames[uf.btn] =true
ClickCastFrames[uf.btn] =false
uf.btn:Hide() -- line 1208
ClickCastFrames[uf.btn] =false
uf.btn:Hide() -- line 1244

Hi.
Is there a a way to get #showtooltip or have Clicked recognize and
append the appropriate icon to a custom macro?
Currently just has the ? option would be nice to able to have the above
or the ability to add an icon of choice so you can associate them like
the regular cast options.
Thanks!

OK last one for today and perhaps I am just braindead.
Is there a function to group the bindings and commands or perhaps have
them tree into sub groups, or move them around.
Would be great for organization if you could move things up or down. or
perhaps even create a hierarchy for my last email suggestion.
(prioritizes first in menu or whatever)
Just some more thoughts but I just figured out what you meant and have
successfully made a help harm macro without a macro :)

Yep! Clicked will automatically combine all different bindings using the same button and smartly prioritize them based on what you're targeting and what load options you configured. So you can specify a binding to only load when in a specific specialization and bind it to the same key as a binding with another specialization and it will work :) I wouldn't recommend combining multiple characters of different classes into a single profile though.
Yep, spell known should almost certainly pick up PvP talents, if it doesn't, let me know! In the future I'll add a talent dropdown for PvP talents similar to the dropdown for regular talents as well.
In the new version from today I've added a search bar which may help. |
Thanks for considering all my suggestions, this addon (as I see you have
included longer term project for the formatting) will replace a few of
them for me that were always "buggy" and it seems like you are going to
stick around.
Have to decide if i want to go through all my specs and manually change
dominos/bartender to your addon for the keybinds portion at this point
not sure if it matters all that much.
Just don't quit WOW or something and abandon the addon it's great :)

Thanks! There's no harm to combining the two, when configured within Clicked it will take over control of the keybind but any keybindings that are not configured within Clicked will keep doing what they're doing, so it's perfectly safe to not convert everything in one go. Don't worry, unless Shadowlands is absolute garbage I'll be around :) |
Howdy. Just wanted to update you setting up a hunter and doing a trial
run setting up all my binds on your addon.
This might not be a bug but for me I can't seem to figure out how to
bind scattter shot. (Might be with all PVP talents)
But it doesn't seem to recognize it, though I can probably for now put
it in a macro.
Just letting you know!

Hi there.
Would be great if you could simply "rename" a macro even if you won't be
able to see the icon or whatever just so I can figure out which one is
which.
I use some for my feral to switch cast only when in forms and stuff so
not sure if you want to add stuff like this to the addon's regular stuff
/console autoUnshift 0
/cast [@player] Regrowth
/console autoUnshift 1

Hi there me again :)
Yeah would be great if you can set a priority so that if I use abilities
shared. (Like you can use wild charge AND maim on the same keybind even
though both are offensive and it works in a macro but one is distance
one is not.
Not sure if that makes sense but currently I think one will overide the
other would be great if that wouldn't happen :)

Hi there.
Hopefully you didn't get upset because I am such a pain :)
I am really enjoying setting up my toons now so hopefully you are doing
well.
Another suggestion is I figured out how to click multiple forms. Can you
enable it so you can select all forms in the load section no matter what
spec you are in? Can't select boomie if you are in feral for some
options and in some cases you would like that.
Anyway take care and sorry if I annoyed you :)

Oh hi! I've been a bit preoccupied with other stuff for the past week
Note entirely sure what you mean here, but in general Clicked will automatically prioritize bindings as you configure them, so if you fill in "focus" or "target" or "player" in the target configuration it will first try the "focus" and if it doesn't exist (or is invalid due to friend/hostile modifiers) it will go to the next one in the list. It will also take modifiers into account between different bindings on the same key, so if you have one thats "friendly target" and another binding that is just "target" it will first check for a friendly target.
I'll add this and (basic) custom icon selection to the next version.
You can already do this 😄 in the load options you can select a stance (if your current class supports it), so on druids you'll be able to make it only load if you're in cat form for example. You can switch between the stance toggle twice to enable "multiple" stances mode which allows you to check multiple stances in which is should be active (look for the gray checkmark).
Not possible unfortunately, even if you can tell it to try casting Maim first there's no way for the addon to know that the cast failed (the "Out of range." error message from Blizzard will show up).
See above :) |
Thanks a lot for your responses. I figured out a lot of stuff in our
down time so :)
Hopefully everything will be good, as I am starting to get a lot of
binds especially on the druid since I need to make a few for a variety
of the abilities. (Like a generic one to go into a form first, then hit
an ability, help/harm.
But it's great I love how no longer will the binds be locked to the
action bars which seems buggy when you want to send over to a new toon
or whatever. Now it's all just controlled by your addon. Worked great
when they did the wipe.

Can you add like a notification or some sort of indicator that the addon
wont function right when you are stuck in combat?
I was messing around and thought I busted it or was running out of
memory cuz there was some bug that kept me in combat but I had no
idea.....

Won't function right? As in bindings did not work or the UI did not accept changes? |
I spent 20 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong, I thought I ran
out of memory. I will rephrase. There is nothing wrong with the addon
but because I was stuck in combat and didn't know it. (Yeah my bad) I
kept on trying to make changes and didn't have an effect. Usually
combat ends after a certain point but this one persisted through
logouts, etc. was really weird.
Would be just a nice to have to have a notification to remind you of
that. I felt like such a dumb dumb.
So there is nothing wrong just a quality of life thing for dummies :)

Hi there.
Can you put in an option when you use item that it can notice if you put
a number and use that inventory slot ?
like if you put /use 13 it will use first trinket.
Kinda handy if you use slots for stuff.
Thanks
Neil

Hi there.
Something on the last version I just installed seem to break all the
commands associated with button1 , button 2. They are there loaded but
won't go.

Hm, does updating to 0.13.1 fix it? |

I will try to find it but one thing is sometimes when I am in ghost wolf
form I will click a spell and it will give the message "you are in
shapeshift form" ; I have read somewhere that addons can cause this not
sure if it has anything to with clicked but wanted to just let you know
because it might and you can perhaps check your code.
I will come back to you if I can give you specifics as I am not able to
duplicate and haven't figured out exactly when it's happening.

Hi there.
Not sure how you want to do this but can you implement this into the
conditions as right now if you are in soulshape none of the form
restricted commands are going to work at least for druids
Thanks!

Hi see below.
Seems like if I have this set up it will always prio mouseover instead
of focus. It works fine for target (meaning that it will ignore it if i
have a focus) but as soon as I have a mouseover it ignores the fact that
the focus is in the first spot.

Hi! I don't think you've attached anything to that comment |
Let me know if you can see this one.
If I create a new rogue and then try to use the same profile either by
importing or simply assigning the same as my working level 60, it gives
a bunch of errors like in this shot. This seems to happen when I open
up the search and try to search for a string. It doesn't seem to do
anything. The profile seems to work fine on my 60. It is on a
different realm if that means anything.
Still hoping you also add in a global search function even if you have
groups (No matter which group I am in the search will find the string)

Actually tested it a bit more and it seems pretty much non functional on
the lower level toon. Won't let me do anything in the addon an get you
more lua errors but perhaps you can duplicate it on your own. Maybe
something to do with the fact it's on a different server or horde vs
alliance ?

I still can't see any screenshots. Can you post the Lua error and the
contents of /cc dump on the profile too? On both characters preferably.

Want to have the ability to blacklist say your player and target frame from having the keybind (essentially would only need it for right and left mouse clicks) and have it work for whatever is not there.
This functionality is inside clique so I would assume it's possible :)
Thanks!
