Unable to download on DSM5 final #863
Comments
Same here. All downloads fail at 99%. Tried Sab, Python, Couchpotato and Sickbeard... |
Same here on my ds 214+ |
I am also having this issue. |
Same problem here! Seems Synocommunity packages server denies the latest 5.0. Can't download any package. |
Just got a Synology, and have the same problem. synology-apps do work |
Ditto. Same problem "Failed to Download" |
Any estimation when this issue will be fixed? Is it a "few days"-thing or maybe way more complicated? |
I have exactly the same thing. It used to work on the DSM 5 bèta version, but not on the final one. |
Same here with 5.0 final and a 1513+. I heard from someone with a 211 that also has upgraded to 5.0 but can still download .. |
I'm having this problem on a DS1513+ I just updated to DSM 5.0, but not on a newly installed DS413. |
Experiencing same issue on DS214Play with final DSM 5.0. |
same here. New owner of a DS414, I just installed DSM5 and can't install any package |
Same here. Download doesn't even start. |
Hi. |
Thanks for the hint! You just need to enable beta versions. Auto updates are not necessary. But watch out for official synology packages with "beta" below the package name. Don't install them if you need a stable system. Still this is only a workaround and not a fix. I recommend to enable beta, install required packages of synocommunity repo and disable beta afterwards. So you don't risk to install an official beta version and eventually crash your system. The reason the normal procedure does not work seems to be that the 5.0 final is marked as beta in this repository. Thus a fix will not be complicated for the repo maintainer. |
does not work in my case (1513+ with 4458) |
No luck for me, it doesn't work. |
I had the beta already enabled. Unticking and ticking it again didn't help either... |
Didn't work for me either. I have a 214+. Beta and auto updates were already ticked. On Fri, Mar 14, 2014 at 11:41 AM, maxb911 notifications@github.com

213j, hadn't enabled it yet, enabled the Beta but no succes. So this doesn't seem to be a workaround for (allmost) any of us. |
Mmh, that is weird. With my DS214 everything works. I can reproduce it if I tick/untick beta updates. Did you check the logs? Same message? I'm on a fresh install, did the rest of you update? |
i have a DS213j. I have ticked Beta Updates. I can also see Beta Updates from synology. But i keep getting the error message for SynoCommunity-packages. Other packages from synology work fine. I'm on a fresh install, since i just bought the thing. |
Yes - I did the update from the latest 4.3 to 5. A fresh install might On Fri, Mar 14, 2014 at 12:28 PM, blu2lz notifications@github.com wrote:

@jesses1983 : I'm not sure if I'm reading your message correctly, but in case you're still having issues: Most packages are available over here until the official repo is back up: http://synology.w01.eu/ (or directly in #886) |
@RipNRun : could you try refreshing package list in Package center and download cops, version 0.6.2-1 was shown in package list but only 0.9.0-1 is available. |
@piwi82 While I'm at it, seems Debian-Chroot is working again too? Did a quick check on DSM4.3 and DSM5.0, and it's downloading again. (bromolow and 212+, btw) |
@Dr-Bean: Like @jesses1983, I also haven't had any luck with installing the packages manually with my DS214SE. I've been trying to get Python installed so I can install gateone since the python in the standard repository is slightly too old. But I just get an error every time. I tried them both from the repository and from @Wouter0100's site with no luck. Packages from the standard repository and from PCLoadLetter's repository work fine. |
@irotsoma Which error do you receive when installing it manually? |
@Dr-Bean : All package downloads should work now as I get no error using any architecture (I haven't tested all possibilities). |
Great. Well, guess we'll wait for response to come in ;) I only had issues with Debian, although I haven't tested all packages either, just the most mentioned ones. |
Thanks a lot!! 2014-03-21 22:58 GMT+01:00 Dr-Bean notifications@github.com:

Just refreshed my sources and tried to install Headphones, Git and COPS on my DS213J, still no luck. |
Still no luck on my DS1513+ (brand new). The most (not tested all) packages still the can't download error after refreshing. |
My Quickconnect came back, so I tried several packages and I'm also not having any luck on my new DS214se running DSM 5.0 either. |
No go with 214play. =( I appreciate your effort though =) |
Works on a fresh install on DS1010+ (arch x86) but not on a DS1513+ (arch cedarview) |
@piwi82 - I refreshed COPS and found that the package manager found 0.9.0-1, but it still failed to download. I have removed the hash from download links, let me know if things are going better. |
@piwi82 Thanks god! Worked like a charm 👍 Everything seems to be working here on my new DS1513+ :) |
@piwi82 - That did it for me! Thanks m8 =) |
The repo seems to work correctly now. |
And it works !! (DS214Play), tyvm |
@piwi82 - Perfect! Much thanks and donation on the way! |
Aye, it works again, tyvm :-) |
If you don't mind me asking what was the purpose of the hashes in the URL - just obscuring the path or something cleverer? Adrian Sent from my iPhone

This base64 string contained the data sent by Package center when requesting the catalog (NAS architecture, DSM version, time zone, ...) and was used for download logs. |
I can confirm all downloads working again on the DS213J. Thanks for all the effort! |
Hi,
I can't install any package on DSM5 final : download fails. Log message for transmission is : PkgSynoMan.cgi: pkgserver.cpp:343 Failed to download package, httpResponseCode=403, url=http://packages.synocommunity.com/eyJwYWNrYWdlX3VwZGF0ZV9jaGFubmVsIjoic3RhYmxlIiwidW5pcXVlIjoic3lub2xvZ3lfZXZhbnNwb3J0XzIxNHBsYXkiLCJidWlsZCI6IjQ0NTgiLCJsYW5ndWFnZSI6ImZyZSIsIm1ham9yIjoiNSIsImFyY2giOiJldmFuc3BvcnQiLCJtaW5vciI6IjAiLCJ0aW1lem9uZSI6IkFtc3RlcmRhbSIsImRzX3NuIjoiMTNDMExUTjAxNTM0NyJ9/transmission_evansport_2.82-5.spk
