Creating a poll as requested by @TJkrusinski to figure out if the community is interested in having a Hubot run in the Orlando Developers Slack. Hubot is a chat bot platform built by GitHub with hundreds of plugins and is otherwise very easy to customize.

One of the big advantages is that we can move a lot of integration work over to the Hubot instance, which counts as one integration in Slack verses multiple for each command we want to build in.

I run a Hubot at my workplace and it has served us well, and I would be willing to set one up, host it, and provide the repo open source for others to customize it and report issues.

Is this something the community is interested in or should be idea be passed on? Vote/discuss in the comments.

I haven't used it but it seems legit.

Nobody was opposed and some were for, so I'll call that a supermajority 😛
A Hubot is live right now called "Eve". The source code is here, and I'll be accepting pull requests or general requests for changes: https://github.com/jaxbot/hubot-orlandodevs

If things go horribly wrong, the bot will discontinued, but I think there's some cool potential for this.

The barrier for entry for writing scripts is really low, so if you want to build some functions, do so!
