Assembly and Wiring

Now that you have finished building all of the components for the extruder it is time to put it all together. Mounting nuts and bolts are typically included in the BOM for the component being mounted. Items you will need are listed below. Refer to the wiring diagram (also below) to make the electrical connections between the various parts of the extruder. Depending on the type of terminals on items like your stepper motor, tools available, you may need to use different/additional electrical connectors. As of now, the new enclosures have yet to be designed, so wire lengths are (hopefully over) estimated. Try to keep high voltage wires away from low voltage wires. Otherwise, noise may be an issue.
