v1.0.3 - The Connectivity & Controller Overhaul
This patch completely overhauls the underlying engines for WebRTC signaling, audio routing, and virtual controller inputs to guarantee maximum stability across all operating systems.
If you experienced the "Capture Cancelled" error on Windows, infinite "Connecting..." loops, or unresponsive gamepads, this update is for you.
Bug Fixes & Stability
- WebRTC Handshake Speed: Replaced dead TURN servers and implemented a 3-second fast-retry loop. Viewers will no longer get stuck in 15-second infinite "connecting" loops.
- Late-Joiner Parity: Added a "Bouncer" protocol to violently flush ghost ICE candidates and instantly sync video frames for viewers who join a stream that is already live.
- Windows Audio Crash: Fixed an
AudioContextcrash that caused the app to abort the stream ("Capture Cancelled") if the system audio driver didn't match a hardcoded 48000Hz layout. - Windows Controller Inputs: Completely rewrote the
vgamepadtranslation layer. Fixes dead analog sticks, scrambled W3C button mappings, and the silent crash that occurred when releasing buttons. - ASAR Packaging Fix: The packaged
.exeand.AppImagewill no longer crash on boot. Configuration and.envfiles are now safely written to the persistent OS AppData/Config directories instead of the read-only application archive.
Linux-Specific Improvements
- Wayland Silent Capture: The headless Arcade Worker now intelligently detects Wayland environments and forces X11 mode to bypass OS security blocks that prevented automated screen capture.
- Virtual Audio Sink: The app now correctly generates a
NearsecAppAudiovirtual cable and injectsPULSE_SINKenvironment variables so games launched by the Arcade Worker pipe audio directly to the stream without blasting your physical speakers.
Quality of Life
- Dynamic Resolution/FPS: The host WebRTC encoder now strictly obeys the Framerate and Resolution dropdowns in the UI instead of hardcoding to 1080p/60fps.
- Dashboard Navigation: Fixed a routing issue where the "← Dashboard" button on the host page would fail to return you to the main menu.
- Arcade Worker Auto-Launch: Headless boots will now correctly auto-launch the specific game process and wait for the window to draw before seamlessly locking the video capture.
