Current Situation / Problem
Distance up to which labels are drawn is hard coded to 5,000m at the moment. Some people like to see labels earlier.
Also, labels are cut off at X-Plane's reported visibility.

Suggested Solution

  • Make the label distance a configuration item
  • Make it optional to cut off labels at current visibility

Both also require a XPMP2 change. The cut off distance is available in glob.maxLabelDist, but cannot currently be set from the outside.

Benefits
Some users like more labels.
