Remote usability test 1

About the test:

  • Testing the prototype, completing an end to end standard application, then comparing that experience to using the form
  • Consumer group, British nationals with a UK degree aged 30-50, mixed gender
  • Sprint 2

General

  • Validation of preference from test candidates to complete online vs. downloadable form
  • Validation of summary page - including edit detail & return flow - went down well and edit task completed without problems
  • Start page information clear
  • 'Clear' and 'clean' v1 of the prototype, 'intuitive', 'self-explanatory', 'good process flow'

F, 31:

  • Need email confirmation shown on print page
  • Indication we'll tell you how to get certified if answer "No" on the certified question page
  • She did not go beyond the print page

F, 50:

  • Only chose 1 doc in checker, not 2
  • Checkbox/radio options on checker work well, focuses on those and reads them

F, 38:

  • Nothing missing or confusing on start page
  • Find address - dropdown selection shows below the button which may require scrolling to see. Can it show next to the button, taking the place of the then move the add manually down below instead?

M, 35:

  • Didn't fill in phone number at first, saw the grey placeholder and thought it was done
  • Would like an FAQ

M, 43:

  • "apostille" needs an explanation, define it
  • Not clear about the end page, got a bit mixed up
