Background and Purpose

The aim of this user test is to gain feedback from users both gamers and non-gamers about the design of the weapons/projectiles and animation. Participants are briefed about the game and the environment that the projectiles will be used.

Testing Process and Agenda

Description of Process

2 groups of participants consisting of gamers and non-gamers will be asked to play the game and to look at individual design sprites.

Testing Process

Participants will be interviewed individually and their feedback will be recorded in a document. Questions range from if the projectile type suits the tree or player it is fired from, if sizes are appropriate, colours are suitable and easy to make out from terrain.

Evaluation

  • 30%- said that projectile size could be bigger
  • 75%- said that colours matched worlds
  • 80% agreed that weapon classes match trees/players
  • 80% wanted more weapon classes for players
