I have included "password-store":"basic" in argv.json as well as thru starting arguments yet it still says encrpytion not available?
No i dont have gnome or kde keyrings, and i dont want to have to download an older vscode version without this safe storage mess which breaks all extensions trying to store anything such as API keys, making them unusable.

Im trying to set API key in code-gpt extension but the new safe storage system doesnt work for me it seems

Only keyring i have is pacman-key which is for signing packages.
