Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

CS2 doesn't launch when clicking on play, it just stays on "Launching" with a message bellow "Downloading workshop (0%)".
This started happening after i was kicked from a game, and went to restart steam.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Click Play

I just got an abandon(tried relaunching the game due to an unrelated issue where after a combination of having played for a while and alt tabbing, I have half a second of audio delay), and I can attest to the following

Verifying integrity is stuck at 0%
if you uninstall the game you cannot download it again.
Steam just puts the game to download and then never progresses.
Hitting Download/resume/start download does nothing
It's like everything that includes file I/O doesn't work from steam's side.

Myself, I manually quit the game by entering quit in console

Nevermind, <5 minutes after I got confirmation of abandon the game started downloading.

if you have audio delay, and are using pipewire, try adding %command% -sdlaudiodriver pipewire to launch command

iirc the -sdlaudiodriver pipewire is default now.

basically the same issue I have, but with different message, it's probably due to the fact that Steam blocks any download action with this specific game only during the matchmaking. If it crashes from casual then Steam starts verifying the content right away.

Wasn't happening when I played 6 hours ago, now with the latest update - it has happened twice in a row. Tried restarting steam, PC, clearing download cache, changing download server, removing the Limited Test DLC - nothing worked. CS2 couldn't launch (stuck @ "Downloading content (0%)") or verify files (stuck @ 0% again) until I had a competitive cooldown in effect. Re-verified, restarted steam, CS2 launches fine. Tried to hop into a competitive once the cooldown expired only to have it happen again.
