What is the "Offline-Poster" for? #4772
Comments
We had a problem detecting if the live was online. it may be fixed already |
No im sorry but with the git pull from half an hour ago its the same... And like i said: For what should this be as it only confuses the User!? I would change this scaring "OFFLINE" Poster to the "ON AIR" Poster (red on grey) you are using in other parts. So the user isnt such confused! |
if it is offline it does not even suppose to have a poster. |
And for what is the OFFLINE Poster shown at the top of this thread? |
this warn us something is wrong that is what I mean, it does not suppose to appear. |
But is this a info that the visitors of the page should see? I understand it but such a message "something is wrong" should be a log-entry or eventually insight of the "Live Control Panel" where the streamer configures his stream. But in front of the Mainpage??? |
Just sent an update |
so I now did a new git clone to a separate folder and then copied it to my site folder. I have fully updated system. Was trying to stream and still I get the offline message. I will post on any changes or new log info. |
This could have something maybe todo with the cookies. I keep getting the request to agree every hour or so even though I am logged in already. I put a large number on the session time. It seems like my session keeps resetting every once in a while. |
are you using the adaptive? also I just sent new updates |
Its adaptive here, yes |
@morbificagent please update again |
yes I use adaptive but only HD and SD |
Still same... 23-Mar-2021 23:33:22 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::DEBUG: Bot Detected, NOT showing the cache (/page/40?page=37&page=40&page=42) FROM: 66.249.66.82 Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 6.0.1; Nexus 5X Build/MMB29P) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/89.0.4389.95 Mobile Safari/537.36 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html) SCRIPT_NAME: /view/index.php [23-Mar-2021 23:34:13 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::DEBUG: CustomizeUser::canShareVideosFromVideo canShareVideosFromUser(11) = false SCRIPT_NAME: /view/index.php [23-Mar-2021 23:35:54 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::ERROR: sendSocketMessage SCRIPT_NAME: /plugin/Live/on_publish_done.php |
Because of #4775 its hard for me to track.. |
@morbificagent I do not see a problem with your sockets please update again |
No change... in the moment of starting the stream i am informed via socket (even with all my socket-error-log-entries). Reloading the site or even clicking on some element which results in a side-change deletes all information of a running stream like on the last screenshots on #4775 |
BTW I have on this server two domains, how would I run this command to allow YPTSocket to run for both sites. because the first site will already occupy port 2053. The second site is not streaming or using the RTMP at all, something I wish to fix by moving the RTMP server to a separate server and allowing both sites to use the same RTMP for streaming. |
@guymass sorry but could you open another thread for this so we can stay focused here? |
Daniel closed my thread and moved it here, because we have the same issue and I think maybe that YPTSocket could also be part of the issue, so sorry. I will try to keep it focused on our OFFLINE issue. |
@morbificagent I do not think this issue has anything to do with sockets. can you guys please share the parameters from the live plugin? |
is not wirking, no obs, no meet. daniel, maybe the problem is here? update |
Thanks @morbificagent What do you have to look at is ... You MUST have something here, otherwise, you will have no notification if does not make any difference check your streamer logs maybe your streamer could no access the https://meet.bit-link.de/stats page |
Do you have on_publish_done in your nginx.conf? |
@guymass try this |
:( why me... still nothing, here is some of the log: [24-Mar-2021 23:11:33 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::DEBUG: wget Start (wget --tries=1 http://live.ahava528.com:8443/stat -O /var/www/html/AVideo/videos/cache/YPTurl_get_contents/dec547bb02dd107b2eb901904bc02cc6 --no-check-certificate) SCRIPT_NAME: /plugin/Live/stats.json.php |
did you add the hosts entry for live.ahava528.com? Looks like your server cannot connect to http://live.ahava528.com:8443/stat |
like this |
yes |
I tried it it didn't work. I have to say we use to IP addresses on is set for the RTMP and one is for the main site. I am not sure if this is important but it was working for us before. I tried also setting the hosts to point to the correct IP, but also this shows the same error. |
so try to use the IP |
Nope, it will not work on 127.0.0.1. I probably need to change the whole nginx configuration to have it running on this IP. I have everything already setup pretty well, and the whole point of using separate IP for the encoder to reduce load. Currently I can stream and the post is being created just fine, its just the notification on front page not showing. Very strange. |
24-Mar-2021 23:56:27 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::DEBUG: NGINX ON Publish success SCRIPT_NAME: /plugin/Live/on_publish.php |
I am not sure but: |
[25-Mar-2021 00:20:45 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::DEBUG: NGINX ON Publish parse_str: {"p":"73edeef8c4b2ff49611688e91bf2bb28"} SCRIPT_NAME: /plugin/Live/on_publish.php |
My Adaptive nginx conf:
guy added on_publish_done
|
My server block: server {
} |
Would Network Encoder have any effect on this issues? I am rally lost here, tried everything. |
@guymass the only problem I can see is that your streamer cannot see the http://live.ahava528.com:8443/stat Try to make a If works it is something in your PHP configuration. |
I can wget http://live.ahava528.com:8444/stat however the page wont open, but I can open the page on port 8443 however wget http://live.ahava528.com:8443/stat will not work, strange ha! |
OK I found my problem with this, I have http running on port 8444 and because I set the url to https it wasn't working. Well now I set it properly and this work now on port 8444 however I still don't get live. It was showing it for 5 seconds and than it flipped back to OFFLINE status. I see this message repeating. And This: [26-Mar-2021 15:53:56 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::ERROR: sendSocketMessage SCRIPT_NAME: /plugin/Live/on_publish_done.php |
Hi, I just sent some updates for the live cache, can you please check? |
[27-Mar-2021 02:07:21 Asia/Jerusalem] AVideoLog::ERROR: sendSocketMessage SCRIPT_NAME: /var/www/html/AVideo/plugin/Live/on_publish_socket_notification.php |
We are going to test separating the RTMP to its own server, only installing the encoder. We want to point all streaming to it from all sites. Any suggestions? We hope this will take some stress off the main site allowing it to only deal with serving the video for viewing while the other server will deal with live streams. What do you think? |
your socket server seems like is running, but is it connecting? are you still not getting notifications right? |
Now I cannot even see my stream but when I stop streaming it will still create the file. Live::get_data(http://live.ahava528.com:8444/stat, 4) |
Hi together, Hi Daniel,
last time i asked you to make it possible to hide the offline badge on the upper left of the live-streams and you made it possible. THX for that.
But one Offline-Message is left in form of the "poster-image" on the start-screen:
Is it possible to get rid of this too and use the "On-Air" (red on grey) image instead as default?
And in generally i dont understand what is it for?
When im Offline and not streaming there is no entry on the start-page.
When im Online and streaming it creates an entry on the start-page.
-> How should i send a stream while im offline like the picture says !?!?
The only situation i could imagine where this Offline-Poster would be helpful is when a running stream ended and the users are furthermore on the stream-site.... then they could see that the stream has ended.
But especially in THIS situation this Offline-Poster ISN'T shown and a rotating circle remains there:
