Due to a typo, we're not passing any CXXFLAGS when compiling dependencies that use CMake to generate their build systems. As far as I understand, CMake will not add any optimization related compiler flags unless an explicit target (e.g. Debug or Release) was specified, so we're currently building these dependencies without optimizations. Let's specify appropriate flags and ensure they're passed on in build_git.
