Feature Request : Add Z-Wave Device Support #32
Comments
I do not think/believe they would be exposed through the Control4 interface unfortunately. |
It may be possible with a z-wave stick paired as a secondary controller to the hub. Secure devices won’t work unless you get the S2 key (using Simplicity Studio). I need to actually test this.. last time I tried was before S2 support was added to HASS. None of this is related to this addon though |
@ifeign I am also interested in getting this to work. Have we confirmed that there is no way to do this through the APIs that the Panel itself exposes? Given that the alarm.com app (communicating through the alarm.com cloud service) allows for controlling these devices, I wonder what the communication between the alarm.com (cloud) service and the panel is to trigger these actions. Also, there are 2 other options to "enable" beyond the Control4 interface and I wonder what they expose: |
@ifeign the Qolsys guide says that those other options are for "future use" -- and in my screenshot I forgot to capture that there's actually a 3rd option for Savant. |
I’ll finally be trying the z-wave secondary hub this weekend, as I’m
migrating to new hardware and will need to re-pair my z-wave stuff anyway.
Will report back

Any word on this by chance? Should we be looking into a usb zwave controller? Thanks ;) |
Wanted to thank everyone for working on this and circle back on this thread, as I am hoping for ability to lock and unlock door with zwave device. Sounds like control4 doesn't allow for it, but curious as to everyone's experience with it. |
If possible, the ability to see and control Z-Wave devices that are connected to the IQ panel would be very beneficial.
My particular use case is with the my Z-Wave door locks. I am able to see and control them on the IQ panel itself, but they are not visible via the gateway
