Hi all, it's my first time around, so please take it easy on me. Happy to have found this Xubuntu space for collaboration.
I've recently checked out Linux Mint Xfce and the very first thing I've noticed was how good the fonts looked. When I opened the Appearance settings, I was surprised to see that the default font was simply "Ubuntu Regular 10". Then I had to check what the defaults were for Xubuntu again, because it should be probably the same, right? Nope. And then of course I've changed my default font to "Ubuntu Regular 10" in my own Xubuntu install and I've got the same good looking fonts.
Which brings me to my question/suggestion. Shouldn't Xubuntu use the same good-looking fonts that are anyways available by default on Ubuntu? I'm aware aesthetics are subject to personal opinion, but please do consider. I find the Ubuntu fonts very pleasing to use as default fonts. Thanks.
