Screenshots

Take a peek — here's what BatteryPeek looks like in action.

At-a-glance battery level The main screen shows your current charge as a big, friendly number, with a subtle ring that fills and empties as you use or charge your device. No digging through settings, no swiping — just open and peek.

Color-coded status Green when you're topped up, amber when you're getting low, and red when it's time to find a charger. The colors update live, so you always know where you stand without reading a single digit.

Charging at a glance Plug in and watch the ring animate as your level climbs. A small bolt icon makes it obvious you're charging, even from across the room.

Compact widget view Keep BatteryPeek on your home screen for an instant readout. The widget matches your system theme and keeps the same color language as the app, so it feels right at home.

Light and dark themes Whether your phone is set to light or dark mode, BatteryPeek follows along with a clean, high-contrast look that's easy on the eyes.

Simple, distraction-free design No ads, no clutter, no confusing graphs. Just the number, the ring, and the color — everything you need to keep an eye on your battery, and nothing you don't.

Screenshots are captured on a recent device running the latest version of BatteryPeek. Your layout may vary slightly by screen size and theme.

FAQ

Why does BatteryPeek show a different percentage than my system battery indicator? BatteryPeek reads the battery details your device reports and rounds them for a quick glance. Some systems update their own indicator less often or apply their own smoothing, so a small difference is normal. Pull down to refresh and the number will catch up.

The percentage looks stuck. What should I do? Try a manual refresh first. If it still doesn't move, close BatteryPeek from the app switcher and open it again. On most devices the reading updates within a second or two after that.

Does BatteryPeek run in the background? No. BatteryPeek only reads your battery while it's open, which keeps it lightweight and avoids draining the very battery it's reporting on. You'll see the current level the moment you launch it.

Can I see more than just the percentage? Yes. The main screen shows the level at a glance, and the details area breaks down charging status and health information where your device provides it. Take a look at the screenshots above for the full layout.

Why is some information missing on my device? Not every device exposes every battery detail to apps. When a value isn't available, BatteryPeek simply leaves it out rather than showing a guess. What you see is what your device reports.

Is BatteryPeek free? Yes, BatteryPeek is free to use. If you'd like to help it improve, contributions and feedback are welcome.

How do I report a bug or suggest a feature? Open an issue on the project page with your device model, the app version, and a short description of what happened. A screenshot helps a lot. Friendly, specific reports get fixed fastest.

Will BatteryPeek ever show ads or ask for permissions it doesn't need? No ads. BatteryPeek asks only for what it needs to read battery information, nothing more.

Can I use BatteryPeek on a tablet or multiple devices? Yes, BatteryPeek works on phones and tablets alike. Install it on each device you want to keep an eye on, and the layout adapts to the screen.

Still curious? Browse the screenshots above, then give BatteryPeek a try. If your question isn't answered here, reach out through the project page and we'll take a look.

License

BatteryPeek keeps licensing simple and friendly, just like the app itself. Here's what you need to know:

Free to use, free to share. You can use BatteryPeek for personal projects, in your own apps, or just to keep an eye on your battery — no strings attached.

Screenshots make it easier. We've put together a few screenshots below so you can see exactly how BatteryPeek looks and behaves before you dive into the license details. A picture is worth a thousand words, and a good screenshot is worth a thousand lines of legalese.

What you can do:

  • Use BatteryPeek in personal and commercial projects
  • Modify it to fit your needs
  • Share it with friends and teammates

What we ask:

  • Keep the original credits intact when you redistribute

Screenshots of the license in action: see how the app looks and feels — the license simply lets you enjoy it.

If anything is unclear, just peek at the license file included with the project. It has the full details, and it's written to be as readable as the app itself.
