Yep, It's really an Ardent issue. I handle it within my app. Might be worthwhile to handle within Confide for the time being. Waiting to see how the report solved his issue, then I'll go from there
Confide is currently willing to create duplicate users with the same username and/or email address.
This had been previously addressed here, but the changes made in that commit were reverted in 5e75221
