What's new
Unix daemonization
claudear startnow properly daemonizes using the classic double-fork pattern — survives SSH disconnects and terminal closures- Use
claudear start --foregroundfor systemd/launchd/Docker environments where the service manager handles backgrounding
Async performance improvements
- Replaced 1-second sleep-loop polling with
tokio::sync::Notifyfor immediate wake on processing slot availability - Changed global rate-limit pause to per-provider rate limiting — non-rate-limited providers are no longer unnecessarily blocked
- Housekeeping cycles no longer blocked by provider rate limits
Reliability
stop()now wakes tasks blocked on slot wait so they exit immediately instead of hanging until the next sleep cyclestop_and_drain()uses Notify for instant wake on task completion instead of 2-second polling- Test timeouts hardened against CI CPU contention
