• Migrate from AGOL Web AppBuilder app, which will no longer be supported by Esri after July 1, 2024

Acceptance Criteria

• Updated data sets for
  • Rural telecom
  • Natural gas service areas (approximate)
  • Electric service areas
• Instant App, ExB or similar to replace the features and functionality of the Utah Public Utilities app

Q2 Sprint 1 Tasks

• Meet with DPU to check on data acquisition progress
• [ ] Compare URTA data from Feb. 2022 with the current URTA web map, and the UGRC Rural Telecom Boundaries

• Explore Arcade intersect functionality

Arcade intersect operation will work with polygons for popups. The size of the intersecting features should be a consideration (i.e. returning a list of culinary water service areas for a county can result in a huge list).

• Use URTA data and FCC study area boundaries to build a new Utah Telecom Boundaries data set to replace Rural Telecom Boundaries
• Continue to work on obtaining electrical and natural gas service areas
• Check spam folder for electric co-op data request responses

• Sent PacifiCorp GIS data request (cc'd Jana Saba)

October 23

• PacifiCorp data received and placed in this g-drive folder
• Individually messaged each co-op contact to see if they will provide a service area data update.

October 24

• Electrical co-op responses are being tracked on the sheet, which include some attribute changes, and data are being added to the g-drive folder.
• Dinged Jimmy again about municipalities and Dominion Energy gas service area data.
• Jimmy confirmed that the current Dominion Energy service area is correct.

October 30

• @ZachBeck has begun aggregating electrical service providers (co-op) data from G:
• Received the last co-op provider data (Raft River Electric)

  • Porter issues to deprecate rural telecom and introduce Utah telecom
  • Create calendar reminder to check on FCC data in one year
• Natural gas: final follow-up with Hildale, Nephi
• Electrical: final follow-up on pending contacts
• Finish up map/app and send to Ron and Chris at DPU

• Contacted Mike Squires from UAMPS twice. The second time was a final outreach telling him we'll keep what we have, and let us know if UAMPS members want to update their data in the future.
