I'm really keen to try this out, but not having much luck with either the package or compiling. Any advice much appreciated :)

I've been thinking about it, but my guess it is a dependency of gtkmm and indirectly caused by kxstudio's choice of versions. You can look for "GTKMM" in configure.ac, and see if reducing the version helps, but the project itself doesn't have a directly dependency on libatkmm. If you tweak configure.ac, re-run the bootstrap script. If you do figure it out, please let me know how you fixed it. Thanks! Sorry to not be more helpful. Chris

Thanks for looking into this Chris. I've given it a go, it got a little further, but I had a number of warnings during the configure stage, and an error during make. I will have another look into it, but I think I may end up distro hopping so I can give sequencer64 a go ;)

Cheers Chris, everything seems to work as expected, gave it a good hammering last night, seems very stable, as is the MIDI clock. Had it running for hours, no crashes, no stuck notes. Brilliant job, thanks for all the work you've put in.

Thanks for the strokes! My main contribution is fixing and enhancing the great stuff I inherited, while trying (and sometimes failing) to not introduce bugs.
