The viewable impressions are available for Sponsored Brands (SB) but not for Sponsored Products (SP) and Sponsored Display (SD) both in ad console or via the API. A recent linkedin post got 172 likes talking about the value of having this metric for SP & SD.
Since "viewable impressions" is a metric already available for SB why not make it also available for SP & SD?
For Top of Search Placement "impressions" will be very close to "viewable impressions" but for "Rest of Search" a lot of those "impressions" are likely unviewed so it makes the CTR metric which uses "impressions" not as useful since the denominator is "impressions" vs "viewable impressions". Having "viewable impressions" would help better understand the attractiveness of a product via the more accurate "viewable CTR" and better inform ad spend decision making and increase ad spend for certain targets.
