[grid-list] Responsive sizing support

This is crucial feature to have. Grid without responsiveness is not more than using tables.

Right. Cool solution, but still this is a solution. The grid list at the moment looks ugly. The service looks fine however this makes the grid list unusable out of the box. And out of the box is there. I have dumped the grid list and went for a similar solution with the observables. That said this is a petty because it beats the purpose.

Should angular/flex-layout be recommended over this? It seems like [mat-grid-list] has been superseded.

Closing this because we are pretty unlikely to add new features to MatGridList going forward now that CSS Grid provides a significantly more robust tool for creating this style of layout.
