At my request for R compatibility, C++ sources are currently C++11 compatible (sorry!). After 0.9.0, there will be an R driver manager version that has been relatively well tested, supports ADBC 1.1 drivers, and can/should be the last version to support R 3.6 and the default toolchain for Centos7. Consider any request to support C++11 from my end rescinded!
