ipp everywhere Canon Pixma Pro 10 wrong print size #5902
Comments
@mfauvain What operating system/Linux distribution are you using? What version of CUPS are you using? How are you submitting print jobs? |
Hi Michael, Arch, kernel 5.11.6, cups 2.3.3 |
@mfauvain Hmm, can you do the following:
Thanks! |
Here are the print configuration, the output (scanned) on a US letter paper (one can see the test page from cups webserver on the back) and the log. |
@mfauvain Weird, the log shows a grayscale ("auto-monochrome") print and grayscale raster data being sent. Will try to reproduce with my Canon TS-series printer. Can you print in color? If so, have you checked for firmware updates for your printer (just in case this is a grayscale printing bug)? |
I confirmed that my Canon PIXMA TS5120 does not reproduce this issue... |
Hi Michael, thx, I just tried to print a color pdf and it works perfect. Tried also (again) a color jpg and it does print in color (I might have left grayscale by mistake in my latest try) but scale is still wrong (unlike for the pdf that prints full page with margins (I just stopped the process to save ink).. |
@mfauvain Everything looks correct in the log, and even the JPEG file is coming across as a PDF... Can you grab the "d" file from /var/spool/cups for a JPEG job after you print? It will be the PDF coming from your application. |
The d file is as the printed output.. small image on top of the page. So I guess cups is not to be blamed.. |
No worries, thanks for letting us know! |
Hi, printing jpeg using ipp everywhere on Canon Pixma Pro 10 gives wrong print size (very small) and on top left corner.
Contrary to a few years back #5238, now setting the printer works out of the box using the ipp everywhere driver however format is wrong and printing a test page from cups server seems to be occupying more space on the page, but colors are wrong.
Using the below ppd used to be working perfect.. not anymore. I must admit I haven't been using the printer for a long time so I can't really know when it started not to work correctly.
