Changes in Legion

Yes, I know, change is painful, welcome to Legion. Hopefully you'll appreciate it (eventually).

  • The AceDB profiles have been replaced with my own internal profile (codex) system to make it simpler for me to pull data to build the windows for characters that use a different profile. From your point of view they should act exactly the same as the old AceDB profiles did.

  • Read about Blueprints first, it will help to understand how the new system works

  • The upgrade code should have transferred the majority of your settings over to the new format, if it hasnt for whatever reason, or this is a new character, you will need to do the following;

    • Open the Configuration page (interface > addons menu or one of the various other ways)

      • go to Settings > Categories > Category Sets - there should be at least one entry named for the profile you used to have

        • if there isnt an entry then your data is gone (sorry) and youll need to add one
        • type in a name of your choosing in the Add field and press enter
        • thats it, theres nothing to change on it from here

      • go to Settings > Design - there should be one entry named for every location you used custom settings on

        • if there isnt an entry then your data is gone (sorry) and youll need to add one
        • type in a name of your choosing in the Add field and press enter
        • thats it, you can change the Style settings here when you need to

      • go to Controls > Bag

        • under Blueprint set the Style and Layout to the Design you added, and set the Category Set to the Category Set you added

    • you can now setup your bags. if you want to setup other locations you need to ensure that the Blueprint options for that location are not set to any of the system defaults or you'll see a "Locked" warning message, there is an unlocked default - [1000] Default that you can use

  • categories are now disabled by default, theyre just like rules used to be. when you assign a category or rule to a bar and it wont do anything until you also enable it (as you assign it to the bar, or even beforehand, mouse over to the left and click on enable)

  • your font has been reset so you'll need to set it again. its under General.

  • frame strata is now under Settings > Designs > Window > Style

  • lots of other stuff i need to document
