This plugin adds a fullscreen display button to the UI to PhotoSwipe 5 by Dmytro Semenov similar to the original fullscreen button in PhotoSwipe 4. In addition to clicking the button you can also press the [F] key to enter fullscreen mode.
The code is inspired by ideas described in dimsemenov/PhotoSwipe#1759.
This plugin is also used in Lightbox with PhotoSwipe.
To use the plugin, import the module and create the plugin using the lightbox instance as parameter before you init the lightbox.
<script type="module">
import PhotoSwipeLightbox from 'photoswipe/dist/photoswipe-lightbox.esm.min.js';
import PhotoSwipeFullscreen from 'photoswipe-fullscreen/photoswipe-fullscreen.esm.min.js';
const lightbox = new PhotoSwipeLightbox({
gallerySelector: '#gallery',
childSelector: '.pswp-gallery__item',
pswpModule: () => import('photoswipe/dist/photoswipe.esm.js'),
});
const fullscreenPlugin = new PhotoSwipeFullscreen(lightbox);
// make sure you init photoswipe core after plugins are added
lightbox.init();
</script>
You can also translate the tooltip label of the fullscreen icon:
const fullscreenPlugin = new PhotoSwipeFullscreen(lightbox, {
fullscreenTitle: 'Toggle fullscreen'
});
Fixed UI handler registration.
Changed detection of fullscreen API to make it work with Safari on iPad.
Added workaround to avoid fullscreen button registered multiple times when PhotoSwipe is triggering the callback multiple times.
Added option to translate the UI label.
Bugfix: the fullscreen button will only be displayed when the fullscreen API is supported.
