Good morning,
I am trying to configure my OMEGA ENGINEERING UTC-USB Universal Thermocouple Connector in the Artisan software. Although I have followed all the recommendations from Google's AI, I have been unable to read the probe temperatures.
When I start roasting, it shows "connected via Modbus," but a few seconds later, it indicates a "Modbus communication error" with no readings.
The original TRH-Central software does display the temperatures.

It seems that your device is simply not supported by Artisan. I couldn't find it in the list of supported devices: https://artisan-scope.org/devices/. Could you?

Hi! No, it isn't on that list; however, none of the models from Omega Engineering appear there either, even though some of their models do show up in Artisan. That’s why I’d like to know if there is a configuration that would allow it to be recognized. If not, can you recommend a USB connection that works with Artisan for a Type-K thermocouple? Thanks!

The Omega devices are temperature meter and thus appear under Meters.

For k-thermocouoples a thermocouple modules from Phidgets (note that you need as well a Phidget Hub and the corresponding Phidget VINT wire to connect the thermocouple module to the hub which connects via USB to your computer) or Yoctopuce Thermocouple work best. We sell a Phidget TC-Set in our shop. The Phidget TC-Set is supported by a machine setting in Artisan.

Hello, thanks for your reply.

I have attached photos of my roaster, the thermocouple, the Omega UTC-USB, and the USB cable.
The original Omega software, called TRH Central, works correctly with this setup.
Do you think I can get it configured with Artisan?

No, this device is not supported and its protocol is unknown to us and not implemented in Artisan.
