Release list
0.1.3
askMyu 0.1.3 (open beta)
Spaces come to Obsidian, Myu's questions are answered with buttons, the Today pane is simpler, and the wording across the plugin is plainer.
Added
- Myu's questions in Today and in a person's conversation have buttons. A yes/no question shows Yes and No. A question with set answers shows them. Every question also has "Not now" (it comes back tomorrow) and "Don't ask again". A question that asks you to pick several people shows each as a toggle, with a box for a name not on the list.
- "What you owe" under Today: what you owe people and what they owe you, folded behind one line. A row opens that person's conversation.
- A meeting has its own conversation with Myu. The meeting's card (the pane that opens before a meeting) was rebuilt: what the meeting is for, since last time, your moves, a block per person, what to know before you go in, and Myu's question before the meeting, answered on the card.
- Interview debriefs. A debrief space has its own conversation with Myu, like a retro's, and a row in Today. The interview time and the date the scorecards open show on the calendar beside your synced events.
Myu/Me.md: your own card, written into Myu's folder with the other files.- A person's card shows how things stand in plain words (going well, steady, worth a check-in, needs some care), and dates on its timeline as words.
- People who were only on some of your emails are kept out of the people list. The look-up's last line says how many there are and opens the list. "Keep track" on one of them brings them back. Search still finds them.
- Pasted text. A long paste in a chat box becomes a block beside your words instead of being cut. "Ask Myu about this note" and "about this selection" send the note or the selection the same way.
- Files on a feedback report. "Add a file" attaches up to five files from your device, 10 MB each, 15 MB in all. They go to the team by email and nowhere else. A reply rating attaches the conversation's transcript, and you can leave it out.
- When a LinkedIn address you paste names a profile in another name than your account's, the plugin asks whether it is yours before it goes on the account.
- The status bar shows what is new since you last looked, for each of Myu's places ("myu · 3 new in Today · 2 in Spaces"). Opening a place clears its count on every device. On a phone, where there is no status bar, the same words sit at the top of the Today pane.
- The plugin saves this computer's time zone to your account when it differs from the saved one, so the morning brief follows your own day.
- The password for new devices. If you set one in askMyu, the connect window asks for it first. Type it and the vault has the key. Approving from another device and the recovery phrase stay as the other two ways in.
- Spaces. Every space you belong to now has a row under "Spaces" in Today, whether or not Myu has anything to say about it that day. The row opens that space's own conversation with Myu. Myu asks one question at a time. The text box is always there, and a question with set answers shows them as buttons.
- The team's retro. A space's pane has two tabs: "Your conversation" and "The team's retro". The retro tab is a page for reading: where the retro stands, each question with what people wrote, the summary the team chose, and the tasks. Voting, accepting and taking a task happen in your conversation, where Myu asks, and the page ends with a button back to it. "See the team's retro ▸" on the space's row in Today opens that tab directly.
- A status line under the space's title says where the space's retro stands right now.
- If a space is locked in this session, the pane shows an Unlock button. You stay where you are.
- When Myu asks in a space for your LinkedIn profile or a resume, or to see your calendar, the pane says where to do that on the web, with the link. The plugin does not upload files or open the calendar consent itself.
- When something you wrote in a space fits your journal better, "Take it there" opens a new journal conversation with your text in the box. Nothing is sent until you send it.
- A person page's list of shared spaces opens the space here in Obsidian. It used to link to the web and say spaces were web only.
- Myu's folder: person pages have new sections, including your spaces with that person, commitments as checkboxes, and what Myu did about them.
Myu/Today.mdlists what needs your attention today. A new daily log atMyu/Log/<day>.mdlists what Myu read, assumed, said, did and is waiting on.
Changed
- A line of Myu's counts as seen once it has been on screen for a second. The plugin tells the server, so an interview debrief Myu drafted can send its invitations after you have seen it.
- Where a memory came from opens as a window with the email or journal entry and the memories Myu drew from it.
- Today is one list. Each person, company, space and meeting is one row. The row shows the one thing Myu has to say about it, with
talk about this ▸to open a conversation about it, andprepare ▸on your next meeting. If Myu has more to say about the same person, the row says how many ("12 more — show ▸") and opens in place. Rows that need you come first. After the first five, the rest sit behind "Show 30 more ▸", so a busy day does not push your meetings off the pane. Myu/Today.mdfollows the same rule: one item per person or space, with their name, the line that matters now, and how many more there are.- A space's conversation shows one question at a time. A question the server holds back until another is answered stays out of the pane, Today and
Myu/Today.mduntil its turn. - What is open with you today shows as checkboxes. The old cue rows, the "this week" rows and the per-item Open buttons are gone.
- Words typed in a space go to that space's conversation. Before, they went into a journal conversation and the space never saw them.
- Wording across the plugin is plainer: buttons, settings, the sign-up and consent screens.
- The README lists every network call the plugin can make, including the new ones for spaces, Today, seen lines, the status bar's counts, Myu's calendar entries and correcting a person, and a few older account and canvas calls that were missing from the list.
Fixed
- Today's "Help Myu" rows read from the current endpoint. The old one was removed from the server.
0.1.2
askMyu 0.1.2 (open beta)
Changes asked for by Obsidian's plugin review.
Changed
- Requires Obsidian 1.13 or newer. The plugin now uses Obsidian's current settings and button APIs, which the review asks for.
- Releases are built so that anyone rebuilding the tagged source gets the same file, byte for byte. Obsidian's build check can now confirm the release matches its source.
- Destructive buttons use Obsidian's current styling call. They look the same.
Fixed
- Smaller typing and promise-handling fixes throughout, with nothing visible.
0.1.1
askMyu 0.1.1 (open beta)
Changes asked for by Obsidian's plugin review, plus a few things it made us look at.
Changed
- The plugin's code now ships readable rather than compressed, so Obsidian's review tools can check it.
- Release files are now signed with GitHub's build attestations.
- The README says which links open in your browser, that the plugin lists your vault's file names to find its own pages, when it uses the clipboard, and where base64 encoding is used.
Fixed
- Smaller fixes to typing and wording throughout, with nothing visible except the terms wording on the sign-up screen, now in plain sentence case.
0.1.0
askMyu 0.1.0 (open beta)
The first release for Obsidian's community plugin browser. If you installed with BRAT, nothing changes: updates keep arriving.
This is the same plugin as 0.0.249, with the version number that marks it ready for the plugin browser.
Since 0.0.246
- Signing in on a device that isn't approved yet shows that in the Myu pane, with a button to get the device approved, and tells you why when it can't go ahead.
- Syncing paces itself and backs off when askMyu asks it to. The Today pane loads in one request, and opening the vault asks only for what changed.
- The plugin is called askMyu everywhere, its mark shows at the top of Settings, and the feedback command is just "Send feedback".
0.0.249
askMyu 0.0.249 (beta)
Install with BRAT: AskMyu/askmyu-obsidian-plugin
Fixed
- The plugin sent far too many requests during a vault sync, enough to get an account's whole connection blocked for a while. Syncing now paces itself, the Today pane refreshes once instead of hundreds of times, and the plugin backs off when askMyu asks it to.
- Progress during a sync updates in place instead of reloading the pane each step.
Changed
- Faster syncs. Opening the vault now asks askMyu what changed since last time instead of re-reading every person and company.
- The Today pane loads in one request instead of six.
0.0.248
askMyu 0.0.248 (beta)
Install with BRAT: AskMyu/askmyu-obsidian-plugin
Fixed
- When a device approval can't go ahead, the pane now says why. For example, askMyu allows three approval requests an hour, and the fourth now says so instead of "The approval did not finish."
- While you're waiting for an approval, a brief server hiccup no longer ends the wait.
0.0.247
askMyu 0.0.247 (beta)
Install with BRAT: AskMyu/askmyu-obsidian-plugin
The last test release before 0.1.0 goes to Obsidian's community plugins. Same code as 0.1.0 will be.
New
- Signing in on a device that isn't approved yet now shows that in the Myu pane, with a button to get the device approved. The 4-digit code stays in the pane while you go approve it from your phone or the web app, and the vault unlocks on its own when you do.
Fixed
- Closing the approval dialog no longer cancels the approval. If you switched to the browser to sign in or approve, coming back to Obsidian now picks up where you left off.
- The pane no longer says "Locked" for a device that simply hasn't been approved.
Changed
- The plugin is now called askMyu everywhere: in the plugin browser, in Settings, and in the command palette.
- The askMyu mark shows at the top of Settings again.
- The "Send feedback to AskMyu" command is now just "Send feedback".
0.0.246
AskMyu 0.0.246 (beta)
Install with BRAT: AskMyu/askmyu-obsidian-plugin
New
- Weave Myu in: one button in Settings opens a page of ready-to-paste snippets for your daily notes, weekly note, Tasks and Dataview. Each has a copy button.
- Insert a Myu snippet: a new command that drops one of those snippets at your cursor.
- Myu look: install AskMyu's optional look from Settings → Advanced. Turn it off or remove it from the same place. Nothing is downloaded.
Fixed
- Settings could show "Connect…" for a Google account that was already connected, or "No other devices" when you had several. If something can't load, Settings now says so and gives you a Retry button.
- If your session expired, the plugin could get stuck until you restarted Obsidian. It now reconnects on its own.
- Settings sections no longer shuffle around after you click something.
- The Account section now reads top to bottom: devices, email addresses, your name, what Myu calls you, and delete account last.
- In a narrow Settings window, text no longer gets squeezed to one word per line.
0.0.243
AskMyu for Obsidian — beta build 0.0.243
First BRAT release. Install: add BRAT from Community plugins, run
"BRAT: Plugins: Add a beta plugin for testing", paste
AskMyu/askmyu-obsidian-plugin, then enable AskMyu under Community plugins.
Needs an AskMyu account (free during the beta). The Myu pane opens with
"Create my account…" or "Sign in"; creating one means agreeing to the
Beta Participation Terms and the Privacy Policy. Existing accounts are
asked once, on first open.
What it does: your day, brief, and conversations with Myu beside your
vault; people, meetings, and canvases written into a Myu/ folder you
control; notes you choose sent to Myu encrypted before they leave.
Nothing is read without your say-so in Settings → AskMyu.
Beta: things will change and occasionally break. Feedback from inside
the plugin: "Send feedback to AskMyu" in the command palette.
