Currently, the NIST module does not fetch the optional parameter g (the statistical weight of the line) from the database. This parameter is needed for calculations of intensity or absorption.
On the website, the option is activated with "g_out=on" in the http request, so simply adding request_payload["g_out"] = "on" to the payload list in astroquery/nist/core.py seems to do the trick.
If you agree that this would be worthwhile to have, I'd be happy to try my hand at a pull request, if the tiny change warrants one.
