When your plugin is disable i can work with PHP suggestions.

When your plugin is enabled, suggestions are not displayed when I start typing

Fortunately, the VSCode team has taken care of this and is releasing their own version
microsoft/vscode#5312 (comment)

I don't think this has been fixed by the author. I moved to a native solution in VSCode
