Hi @joernheissler, just a quick heads-up: Currently it seems this project has been abandoned by its maintainers. The domain aurorareseachlab.com does not have an SOA record anymore, the GitHub organisation auroraresearchlab has no members left and pull requests no longer seem to get handled.

Unfortunately there is nothing "official", but as a short term (and maybe as the long term) solution I created a fork. Until I have feedback that netbox-plugin-dns works as a plug-in replacement (pun intended) it will remain in pre-release status, but it can be installed with pypi (pip3 install netbox-plugin-dns).

Currently there are no releases for 0.17.x on the forked repo, but that can easily be remedied.

Should the original maintainers turn up again we can roll that fork back quite easily.

Hi @joernheissler, as this will possibly never be merged here I moved the PR over to peteeckel/netbox-plugin-dns and merged it there. Thanks!
