Are you planning to address the issues in this plugin found with announcements plugin wrt backstage v1.20.3 ? |
@sharadpattanshetti, our version of the plugin is on the latest release of Backstage. Here is the PR. I'm learning how to best handle releases, and I've settled on every Monday / Tuesday until more governance is needed. |

@sharadpattanshetti, I have also added some issues that would be valuable to contribute. Here is a contribution I made based on an issue opened with the repo, and we have received two new contributors. I am having a hard time getting the owners of issues and PRs to open them with us. I think part of that is that the "official" plugin on the marketplace does not point to us. |

Hey, I just made a Pull Request!
For several months, I have attempted to communicate with the owner of the announcement plugins. I have tried emailing, opening an issue, messaging them on Discord, and posting in the Backstage Discord.
I don't know what else to do, but I see a backlog of issues and feature requests not receiving adequate attention. We started our own version based on the recommendation of the maintainer and are now at a point where we would receive more traction if the marketplace pointed to our maintained version. A lof the open issues have been resolved in our version, and we are excited about the opportunity for community contributions.
I elected not to open a PR to include these plugins here based on the recent RFC.
