Atmos Drivers is the driver of the atmospheric system used by GFDL. There is a version which drives the atmospheric system as a standalone model, with appropriately supplied boundary conditions, or as the atmospheric component in a coupled model driven by FMScoupler. The Atmos Drivers can be considered an abstraction layer with dependencies on a dynamical core, atmospheric radiation component, atmospheric physics component, and the prognostic state update.
