WikiUse CasesBuoy as a call for citizen powered backup

You’re alone in your car at night, driving home after a meeting. As you take a turn onto a side street, you notice there’s a cop following you. Within seconds, the lights and sirens come on. As you pull to the side of the road, you think about all the police harassment faced by your friends and other people you know. You want to let someone know that you’re being pulled over and where you are, but you don’t have time to make a phone call. Once you’ve stopped the car and as the cop sits in the cruiser running your license plates (or whatever cops do in their cars before approaching the vehicle), you open buoy and write a quick message to your team that you’re being pulled over and need support. As the cop walks open behind you and asks for your registration and license, you know someone from your team is on their way to support you in the interaction with the police.
