Using the curl commands on the website, I managed to create a freebsd instance and pay an invoice to download a valid ssh key.

However, ssh -i ssh.key debian@87.85.113.253 times out. What gives?

Nevermind, you have to run curl https://bitclouds.sh/status/HOSTNAME to get the user and IP. This step should be before the ssh step in the website IMO. The ssh step makes it seem like all hosts are using a shared IP.
